Method 2 : Disable Non-Microsoft Services

    • Allow it to run with administrative privileges.

In the Command Prompt window, Type the following command and click enter


net stop wuauserv

  1. Delete files from Software Distribution folders

  • Open file explorer
  • Go to C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution
  • Delete all the files
  1. Restart Windows Update Service
  • Return to Command Prompt
  • Type the command given below and press enter

net start wuauserv

Method 5 : Temporarily Turn Off Windows Firewall
